[PreviousFilesRecovery] Search and Recover Files from Shadow Copy Easily

previousfilesrecovery

PreviousFilesRecovery is another new tool to recover files from volume shadow copy snapshots. This is a similar one like the previous shadow copy recovery tool (ShadowCopyView) released last month by Nirsoft.

Using PreviousFilesRecovery you can search for specific file names (wildcards supported) in a particular directory, and recover the appropriate version of the file you need.

Type the base folder path, set the sub-folders depth (recursion level), configure which files to find, and click Start.

What each option means?

  • Previous versions of existing files: This item type means that an older version of existing file was found in a shadow copy.
  • Deleted File: This item type means that a file that doesn’t exist in your drive was found in a shadow copy (Probably because the file was deleted)
  • Deleted Folder: This item type means that a folder that doesn’t exist in your drive was found in a shadow copy (Probably because the folder was deleted)
