[Fix] Macrium Reflect Backup Error 0x01

When you backup your system image using Macrium Reflect, the backup may fail with the error code 0x01.

The Macrium documentation mentions the following:

0x01 - An error occurred during the backup or the backup was canceled.
See the backup log for more information.

Double-click one of the recent log entries and see what is noted at the end of the log. The log might indicate the problem encountered during the backup.

Here’s an example:

MFT corrupt - Error code = 6. Please run 'chkdsk C: /r'

Resolution

Running chkdsk c: /f, as recommended by Macrium Reflect, resolved the issue. Here are the chkdsk results. It has successfully fixed the MFT.

The most significant line in the following output is “CHKDSK discovered free space marked as allocated in the master file table (MFT) bitmap“.

The Macrium Reflect error code 0x01 has been fixed.

Backups, both scheduled and manual, are now working fine.
