You don’t have to use the Vssadmin command to change the disk space allocation for System Restore / Shadow Copy in Windows 7. The System Restore (System Protection) Options GUI has improved and the System Restore Disk Space Usage slider is back in Windows 7!
Increase or Decrease the Disk Space Used by System Restore
Click Start, right-click on the Computer icon and choose Properties
In the left pane, click System protection
Select the drive-letter from the list, and click Configure

Move the Disk Space Usage slider as required, and click OK.
