Remove the ISP branding for Internet Explorer and Outlook Express
Introduction
ISP branding includes Toolbar background image, Default Page URL, Window Title, Search Bar, customized Search URL, customized Support URL in the Help menu, customized name for Windows Update - Tools menu, Window Title for Outlook Express (stored on a per-identity basis)
Removing the branding
To clear IE and OE branding (for all identities or a selected identity), you may use this utility ISPUnbrand.zip (~8k download).
You can clear the Window Title for selected Outlook Express identity or for ALL Outlook Express identities with a single click.
Removing the Outlook Express Window Title manually
Launch REGEDIT.EXE and navigate to: (Each GUID string represents an OE Identity)
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Identities \ {GUID} \ Software \ Microsoft \ Outlook Express \ 5.0
In the right-pane, delete the WindowTitle string value.
Repeat the same for every other Identity.
Removing the Internet Explorer branding manually
Click Start, Run and type any of the following commands and press Enter:
rundll32 iedkcs32.dll,BrandCleanInstallStubs
or
rundll32 iedkcs32.dll,Clear
