Introduction

Internet Keyboards helps you access the Internet (web browser) and e-mail with the touch of a button. There are situations where you may want to disable this key, or alter its behavior.

Disabling the "internet" key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ AppKey \ 7

Tip:  To launch Help and Support when you press the "internet" key, you set the Association value to hcp

Altering the functionality of the "internet" key

To map an application with the "internet" key, use the following steps:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ AppKey \ 7

Example:  To launch Calculator, mention calc.exe as the Value data. Note that you may need to include the full path of the program, if the program is located outside of the Windows / System32 folder or if it's not included in the PATH variable. It's better to use the full path always (Example., C:\Windows\Notepad.exe)
