Adding an HTML Editor entry to the registry and set as the default

When you open Internet Options and click the Programs tab, the HTML editor list box shows the list of HTML editor applications available in the system (Notepad, Microsoft Office FrontPage etc). To include your favorite editor program to this list and to set it as the default editor, you may use my VBScript htmleditor.vbs.

This script is tested in Windows XP, but may work in Windows 9x / 2000 systems as well.

To add Wordpad entry to this list, and to set as the default editor (optional), run the htmleditor.vbs file that you've downloaded.

Type the full path where wordpad.exe resides and press Enter

Wordpad is now added to the list and is set as the default HTML editor.
