Alternately, you can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/exit-explorer-restart-windows-10-8\/\">restart the Explorer shell<\/a> process.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>After applying the settings, href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/windows-10-shell-folders-paths-defaults-restore\/\">redirected<\/a> the shell folder(s) to OneDrive<\/li>\n<li>You&#8217;re accessing the shell folder via This PC instead of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/remove-quick-access-other-shell-folders-file-explorer\/\">Quick access<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div Downloads Folders<\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"qt\">\n<h4>Tip: Disable Breadcrumbs in the Address Bar<\/h4>\n<p>To always show the full path instead of breadcrumbs in the address bar, use <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/Open-Shell\/Open-Shell-Menu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Open Shell<\/a>, which is a fork of the excellent <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/coddec\/Classic-Shell\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Classic Shell<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t want to install the Classic Start menu component, you can disable it during setup and select only <strong>Classic Explorer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9945\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/open-shell-classic-shell.png\" alt=\"classic shell installer options\" width=\"495\" height=\"244\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once installed, launch Classic Explorer Settings via the Start menu and enable the checkbox for <strong>Disable breadcrumbs<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9944\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/open-shell-classic-shell-disable-breadcrumbs.png\" alt=\"classic shell disable breadcrumbs\" width=\"531\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lastly, if you don&#8217;t want the Classic Shell (Open Shell) Explorer toolbar, you can dismiss it by right-clicking on it and unchecking the Classic Explorer option.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3>How to Undo the above setting (Reset the Windows default)<\/h3>\n<p>To reverse the above registry edit in order to restore the default settings, use this
