When you drag a window to the left side of the screen, it will automatically dock to the left side of the screen taking half of the screen space.<\/p>\n<p>The same goes for the right side. When dragged to the top of the screen, the window maximizes.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 257px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/archived\/w7-ease-access-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"267\" height=\"216\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Aero Snap: Window docked to the left side<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Enable and Disable Aero Snap (Docking) Feature<\/h2>\n<p>To enable or disable the automatic arrangement (Aero Snap) feature, use these steps:<\/p>\n<h3>Windows 10<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Click Start, Settings, System, Multitasking.<\/li>\n<li>Enable or disable the &#8220;Snap windows&#8221; toggle switch.<\/li>\n<li>Turn on one or more of the following options if needed:\n<ul>\n<li>When I snap a window, automatically size it to fill available space.<\/li>\n<li>When I snap a window, show what I can snap next to it.<\/li>\n<li>When I resize a snapped window, simultaneously resize any adjacent snapped window.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Windows 8 and Windows 7<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Click Start, Control Panel<\/li>\n<li>Click <b>Ease of Access<\/b> and click <b>Ease of Access Center<\/b><\/li>\n<li>Click one of the following options:\n<ul>\n<li>Make the mouse easier to use<\/li>\n<li>Make the keyboard easier to use<\/li>\n<li>Make it easier to focus on tasks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Configure the following option accordingly:\n<pre>Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click <b>OK<\/b>, and close the Ease of Access Center.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aero Snap is a feature introduced in Windows 7 wherein the windows will automatically arrange (dock) when moved to the edge of the screen.
