Here is a nice way to customize the Library icons in Windows 7.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Thanks to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.winmatrix.com\/forums\/index.php?showtopic=21627\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bogo<\/a> for this excellent tip!<\/p>\n<h2>Changing the Library icon in Windows 7<\/h2>\n<p>1. Start Notepad<\/p>\n<p>2. Click Start, type the following path and press ENTER:<\/p>\n<div class=\"commandline\">%AppData%\\Microsoft\\Windows\\Libraries<\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/archived\/w7-lib-icon1.png\" width=\"391\" height=\"153\" \/><\/p>\n<p>3. Drag the library (for which you want to change the icon) into the Notepad window.<\/p>\n<p>4. Add the following entry after the line <b>&lt;isLibraryPinned&gt;<\/b><\/p>\n<div class=\"commandline\">&lt;iconReference&gt;Path-to-Icon&lt;\/iconReference&gt;<\/div>\n<p>For <b>example<\/b>, to assign the 84th icon (index starts from 0) from Shell32.dll, type the following line:<\/p>\n<div class=\"commandline\">&lt;iconReference&gt;SHELL32.DLL,84&lt;\/iconReference&gt;<\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/archived\/w7-lib-icon2.png\" width=\"466\" height=\"206\" \/><\/p>\n<p><i><b>Note:<\/b> The &lt;iconReference&gt; line may already exist for the default Libraries.
