You can install a cumulative update offline using the MSU file<\/a>. On Windows 11 24H2 and higher, to install a cumulative update offline, you need to download both the checkpoint update’s (KB5043080) MSU file and the latest cumulative update’s MSU file.<\/p>\n

Install a Windows 11 Update Offline in 24H2 and higher<\/h2>\n

Here are the instructions for installing the latest cumulative update (LCU) in 24H2 and later. For example, to install the\u00a02026-03 CU (KB5079473 – 26200.8037) for Windows 11 25H2, follow these steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Download the following MSU files.\n
    \r\nwindows11.0-kb5043080-x64_953449672073f8fb99badb4cc6d5d7849b9c83e8.msu<\/a> (checkpoint or baseline update)\r\n\r\nwindows11.0-kb5079473-x64_651d0cdb7665e03bb80b4c198784b255081032d2.msu<\/a> (cumulative update)<\/pre>\n
    (Note: The direct download links were obtained from the Microsoft Update Catalog<\/a>.)<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. Move them to a folder at the root of the C drive, for example, C:\\MSU<\/strong>. You need to create the folder manually. Ensure<\/strong> that the above folder contains no other MSU or CAB files.<\/li>\n
  3. Open Command Prompt (admin) and run this command:\n
    DISM \/Online \/Add-Package \/PackagePath:c:\\msu\\windows11.0-kb5079473-x64_651d0cdb7665e03bb80b4c198784b255081032d2.msu\r\n<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
  4. Restart Windows when prompted.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
