You&#8217;ll need to ask your organisation&#8217;s administrator to change the security policies before you can install the app or update.<\/em><\/div>\n<p>For standalone Windows 10 or 11 PCs, follow the steps below to remove the Windows Update policies.<\/p>\n<h3>For Windows 10 or 11 Professional and higher editions<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Launch the local group policy editor by running <strong>gpedit.msc<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Go to the following branch:\n<pre>Computer Configuration \u2192 Administrative Templates \u2192 Windows Components \u2192 Windows Update<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>Double-click <strong>Specify intranet Microsoft update service location<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Disabled<\/strong>, and click Apply.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Not configured<\/strong>, and click Apply.<\/li>\n<li>Double-click <strong>Do not connect to any Windows Update Internet locations<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Disabled<\/strong>, and click Apply.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Not configured<\/strong>, and click Apply.<\/li>\n<li>Close the local group policy editor.<\/li>\n<li>Restart Windows.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>For Windows 10 or 11 Home Edition<\/h3>\n<p>Launch <strong>PowerShell (admin)<\/strong>, and run the commands below to remove all Windows Update registry-based policies:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"powershell\">reg delete \"HKCU\\SOFTWARE\\Policies\\Microsoft\\Windows\\WindowsUpdate\" \/f\r\n\r\nreg delete \"HKCU\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Policies\\WindowsUpdate\" \/f\r\n\r\nreg delete \"HKLM\\SOFTWARE\\Policies\\Microsoft\\Windows\\WindowsUpdate\" \/f\r\n\r\nreg delete \"HKLM\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Policies\\WindowsUpdate\" \/f\r\n\r\nRestart-Service wuauserv\r\n<\/pre>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Additional note<\/h4>\n<p>You can also reset the Windows Update policies and the Windows Update cache using the batch file below.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gist.github.com\/winhelponline\/af9296c106448a664a6229d8146a85fd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reset Windows Update in Windows 10 and 11 \u00b7 GitHub<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>That should resolve the Microsoft Store error 0x8024500c.
