To resolve the issue, follow one of the methods below:<\/p>\n<div class=\"qt\"><strong>Important:<\/strong> Please create a System Restore Point before proceeding.<\/div>\n<h3>Option 1: Update the Intel(R) Network Connections software<\/h3>\n<p>Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.intel.com\/content\/www\/us\/en\/support.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Intel Support<\/a> site and download the latest version of the Intel Network Connections software, and install it.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Option 2: Backup and delete the iqvw64e.sys driver service<\/h3>\n<p>Open <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/open-elevated-command-prompt-windows\/\">Command Prompt (admin)<\/a> and run these commands to backup the iqvw64e.sys driver and delete it.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"cmd\">md C:\\DrvStore\r\nPnpUtil \/export-driver * C:\\DrvStore\r\nrundll32.exe c:\\windows\\system32\\pnpclean.dll,RunDLL_PnpClean \/DRIVERS \/MAXCLEAN\r\nreg export \"HKLM\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\NAL\" C:\\NAL.reg\r\nsc.exe delete NAL\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>Restart Windows and rename the following file:<\/p>\n<pre>C:\\WINDOWS\\System32\\drivers\\iqvw64e.sys\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>to the following:<\/p>\n<pre>C:\\WINDOWS\\System32\\drivers\\iqvw64e.sys.old\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>Restart Windows.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Option 3: Uninstall the Intel(R) Network Connections software<\/h3>\n<div class=\"qt\"><strong>Important:<\/strong> You may lose your Ethernet connectivity if you uninstall Intel(R) Network Connections. If you use a Wi-Fi connection to access the internet, proceed further. Before proceeding, I&#8217;d suggest backing up the driver registry key and the driver store packages as mentioned in &#8220;Option 2&#8221; above and creating a System Restore Point beforehand.<\/div>\n<p>An Intel employee posted the following:<\/p>\n<div class=\"qt\">\n<p><em><em>The Intel(R) Network Connections software manages your Ethernet Network Controller (Wired Ethernet Connection) drivers.<\/em><\/em>If you don&#8217;t regularly connect your laptop to the internet using a cable, your computer should be OK with the generic driver that Windows* will automatically install once you remove the software.
