Resolution<\/h2>\n
Step 1: Backup the CBS registry key<\/h3>\n
Please backup the CBS key using the following command from admin Command Prompt<\/a>:<\/p>\n
reg export \"HKLM\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Component Based Servicing\" \"C:\\CBS.reg\" \/y\r\n<\/pre>\n

Step 2: Delete the following registry keys<\/h3>\n
Launch Regedit.exe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
Delete the following keys:<\/p>\n
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Component Based Servicing\\Packages\\Microsoft-Windows-SmbDirect-FOD-Package-Wrapper~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.26100.1742]\r\n\r\n[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Component Based Servicing\\Packages\\Microsoft-Windows-SmbDirect-FOD-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.26100.1742]\r\n<\/pre>\n
That should fix the DISM error 1726.<\/p>\n
Step 3: Rerun the component store cleanup<\/h3>\n
Run:<\/p>\n
DISM \/Online \/Cleanup-Image \/StartComponentCleanup\r\n<\/pre>\n
To check the effectiveness of the cleanup, run this command:<\/p>\n
