You can try again later on the Language options page. For example, the error codes <code>0x800f0954<\/code> and <code>0x80073d01<\/code> (&#8220;<code>ERROR_DEPLOYMENT_BLOCKED_BY_POLICY<\/code>&#8220;) occur if the <code>DoNotConnectToWindowsUpdateInternetLocations<\/code> and <code>UseWUServer<\/code> GPOs are enabled, and the language or FOD components can&#8217;t be sourced from the WSUS server.<\/p>\n<p>0x8024002E (&#8220;WU_E_WU_DISABLED&#8221;) occurs if the Windows Update service is disabled.<\/p>\n<h2>Resolution<\/h2>\n<h3>Step 1: Set your internet connection to unmetered<\/h3>\n<p>Open Settings \u2192 Network &amp; Internet.<\/p>\n<p>Select Ethernet and set the &#8220;Metered connection&#8221; toggle switch to Off.<\/p>\n<p>Select Wi-Fi and set the &#8220;Metered connection&#8221; toggle switch to the Off position.<\/p>\n<p>Restart Windows.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Step 2: Enable the Windows Update service<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Launch <strong><code>services.msc<\/code><\/strong>, and press Enter.<\/li>\n<li>In the Services window, locate Windows Update.<\/li>\n<li>Right-click Windows Update and select Properties.<\/li>\n<li>Set the Startup type to Manual and select Start.<\/li>\n<li>Select OK to apply the changes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"rp\"><strong>RELATED:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/fix-windows-update-error-0x80070422-in-windows-10\/\">Error 0x80070422 in Windows Update and Store<\/a><\/div>\n<hr>\n<h3>Step 3: Remove the Windows Update policies<\/h3>\n<p>From PowerShell (admin), run these commands:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"powershell\">reg delete \"HKCU\\SOFTWARE\\Policies\\Microsoft\\Windows\\WindowsUpdate\" \/f\r\n\r\nreg delete \"HKCU\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Policies\\WindowsUpdate\" \/f\r\n\r\nreg delete \"HKLM\\SOFTWARE\\Policies\\Microsoft\\Windows\\WindowsUpdate\" \/f\r\n\r\nreg delete \"HKLM\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Policies\\WindowsUpdate\" \/f\r\n\r\nRestart-Service wuauserv\r\n<\/pre>\n<p><em><strong>Note:<\/strong> If you get the error &#8220;ERROR: The system was unable to find the specified registry key or value,&#8221; ignore it and run the next command.
