PxHlpa64.sys is a module supplied with DVD-burning programs, such as Roxio\/Sonic, which Corel Corporation now owns. The PxEngine is also licensed by various 3rd-party software developers specializing in disc burning software. Other programs, such as Adobe Premiere Elements, appear to utilize this module for DVD-burning capabilities.<\/p>\n

This driver is flagged as incompatible when you try to enable Memory Integrity. This driver is also known to cause the 0xC1900101 errors during the Windows 11 setup.<\/p>\n

Resolution<\/h2>\n

PxHlpa64.sys is part of the PxEngine library, used by Roxio products for burning optical discs. To uninstall the PxHlpa64.sys driver, uninstall the disc burning program that installed the PxHlpa64.sys driver.<\/p>\n

Suppose the corresponding software is no longer available or the manufacturer does not have the latest version of the PxHlpa64.sys driver that supports the Core isolation feature. In that case, you must uninstall the driver manually in order to enable Memory Integrity.<\/p>\n

Please create a System Restore Point<\/a> and follow one of the methods below to delete the PxHlpa64 driver service.<\/p>\n

Option 1:\u00a0Uninstall PxHlpa64.sys using a REG file<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Download pxhlpa64_uninstall.reg<\/a> (zipped)<\/li>\n
  2. Unzip and run the enclosed REG file.<\/li>\n
  3. Click <\/span>Yes<\/strong> to confirm.<\/li>\n
  4. Restart Windows for the changes to take effect.<\/li>\n
  5. After restarting Windows, rename or delete the following file:\n
    C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\drivers\\PxHlpa64.sys<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Option 2:\u00a0Uninstall PxHlpa64.sys using Command Prompt<\/h3>\n
    To delete the PxHlpa64.sys driver service, run this command from an admin<\/strong> Command Prompt window:<\/p>\n
    sc.exe delete PxHlpa64<\/pre>\n
    Then, run the two commands below to delete the “PxHlpa64” filter driver<\/a> reference in the registry and rename the driver file:<\/p>\n
    reg.exe delete \"HKLM\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\Class\\{4d36e965-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\" \/v \"LowerFilters\" \/f<\/pre>\n
