If you open Settings \u2192 System \u2192 &#8220;About&#8221;, the CPU or the RAM information may be blank.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-78327\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/processor-blank-system-properties.png\" alt=\"processor and RAM is empty in About System\" width=\"576\" height=\"672\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/processor-blank-system-properties-cpl.png\" alt=\"processor and RAM is empty in About System\" width=\"679\" height=\"342\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-78328\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the following WMI command from the admin Command Prompt may return the &#8220;<strong>Invalid Namespace<\/strong>&#8221; error:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"cmd\">c:\\windows\\system32\\wbem\\wmic cpu list \/format:list<\/pre>\n<h2>Cause<\/h2>\n<p>The above issues occur if the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) service is not running or the WMI repository is corrupt.<\/p>\n<h2>Resolution<\/h2>\n<h3>1) Start the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) service<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Launch services.msc<\/li>\n<li>Double-click &#8220;Windows Management Instrumentation&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Set its startup type to &#8220;Automatic&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Click Start to start the service. Note the errors, if any.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If the above doesn&#8217;t help, proceed further:<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>2) Reset the WMI repository<\/h3>\n<p>Open an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/open-elevated-command-prompt-windows\/\">admin Command Prompt<\/a> and run this command:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"cmd\">winmgmt \/resetrepository<\/pre>\n<p>Restart Windows.<\/p>\n<p>Now, open the About window and see if the Processor and RAM specs are reported correctly.
