If the recovery partition is small, the system might fail when servicing the Winre.wim image.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, you may encounter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/kb5034441-error-0x80070643\/\">error 0x80070643<\/a> when installing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/find-kb5034441-is-installed\/\">WinRE security updates<\/a> if the recovery partition is not big enough. The official documentation mentions that the recovery partition should have at least 250 MB of free space.<\/p>\n<p>Resizing the recovery partition can be done using the built-in Diskpart tool or PowerShell.
