Please check \"VSS\" and \"SPP\" application event logs for more information.\n\nDetails: The writer experienced a non-transient error. (0x8007085A).\n<\/pre>\n<h2>Resolution<\/h2>\n<p>To resolve the Windows Backup errors <strong>0x81000019<\/strong> and <strong>0x8007085a<\/strong>, start the Workstation service.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Press Win + R, type <strong>services.msc<\/strong>\u00a0and click OK.<\/li>\n<li>Double-click the &#8220;<strong>Workstation<\/strong>&#8221; service.<\/li>\n<li>Set it to <strong>Automatic<\/strong>\u00a0start.<\/li>\n<li>Click Apply, and click <strong>Start<\/strong>\u00a0to start the service.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>(When starting the Workstation service, note the error messages, if any, and post them in the comments section below.)<\/p>\n<p>If the service starts correctly, see if you can backup the files using the Backup and Restore tool.<\/p>\n<div class=\"qt\">\n<h4>Additional note<\/h4>\n<p>The Windows Backup\/System Image Backup feature is deprecated and no longer being developed or updated. For greater reliability, it&#8217;s suggested that a third-party backup solution, such as Macrium Reflect, EaseUS, etc., be used.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/windows\/compatibility\/windows-7-backup-and-restore-deprecated\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Windows 7 Backup and Restore deprecated &#8211; Compatibility Cookbook | Microsoft Learn<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>While there is no behavioral change to Backup and Restore, this function is being deprecated and will not be updated.
