Disconnecting from the school or work network should help.<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, if you have administrator access to the system, you can temporarily remove the Windows Update policies using the method below.<\/p>\n<p>From admin PowerShell, run these commands:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"powershell\">reg delete \"HKCU\\SOFTWARE\\Policies\\Microsoft\\Windows\\WindowsUpdate\" \/f\n\nreg delete \"HKCU\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Policies\\WindowsUpdate\" \/f\n\nreg delete \"HKLM\\SOFTWARE\\Policies\\Microsoft\\Windows\\WindowsUpdate\" \/f\n\nreg delete \"HKLM\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Policies\\WindowsUpdate\" \/f\n\nRestart-Service wuauserv<\/pre>\n<p><em><strong>Note:<\/strong> If you get the error &#8220;ERROR: The system was unable to find the specified registry key or value,&#8221; ignore it and run the next command. Do not reboot Windows yet.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The above commands clear the Windows Update policies.<\/p>\n<p>Close and reopen the PC Health Check app now, and click &#8220;Check now&#8221;.
