How to Uninstall Phone Link<\/h2>\n

To completely uninstall Phone Link (for all users), run the following command from admin<\/strong> PowerShell:<\/p>\n

get-appxpackage -allusers *yourphone* | remove-appxpackage -allusers<\/pre>\n

Error uninstalling PhoneLink?<\/h3>\n
On some systems, the following error may occur when uninstalling Phone Link using PowerShell:<\/p>\n
remove-appxpackage : Removal failed. Please contact your software vendor.\r\nDeployment Remove operation with target volume C: on Package [package name] failed with error 0x80070002.<\/pre>\n
If you cannot uninstall PhoneLink due to an error message, try the following:<\/p>\n

  1. Open admin<\/strong> PowerShell and run:\n
    get-appxpackage -allusers *yourphone* | select packagefullname<\/pre>\n

  2. Note the packagefullname<\/strong> — e.g., Microsoft.YourPhone_1.24061.93.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe<\/strong><\/code>.<\/li>\n
  3. Open Regedit.exe<\/strong><\/code> and go to:\n
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\AppModel\\StateChange\\PackageList<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
  4. Create a subkey named Microsoft.YourPhone_1.24061.93.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe<\/strong><\/code><\/li>\n
  5. Under Microsoft.YourPhone_1.24061.93.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe<\/strong><\/code>. create a REG_DWORD value named PackageStatus<\/strong><\/code> and set it’s data to 2<\/strong><\/code> (0x00000002)<\/li>\n
  6. Exit the Registry Editor.<\/li>\n
  7. Now, follow the steps in the “Reinstall Phone Link” section below and click on the “Reinstall” button in the Phone Link page in Microsoft Store.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n
