When you take a screenshot using the Snipping Tool, the following error may appear:<\/p>\n

Can't find Pictures folder.\n\nFor help contact your admin or support person.<\/pre>\n

Cause<\/h2>\n
This error occurs if the Pictures or the Screenshots folder path in the registry points to an invalid location.<\/p>\n
Resolution<\/h2>\n
To resolve the issue, fix the shell folder path<\/a> for Screenshots and Pictures folders<\/p>\n
    \n
  1. Launch the Registry Editor by running regedit.exe<\/strong><\/code>.<\/li>\n
  2. Go to the following branch:\n
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Explorer\\User Shell Folders<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
  3. In the right pane, right-click {B7BEDE81-DF94-4682-A7D8-57A52620B86F}<\/strong>\u00a0and choose Delete.<\/li>\n
  4. Also, verify if the My Pictures<\/strong> value points to the correct path.<\/li>\n
  5. Log off and log back in.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    That should resolve the issue.\u00a0The GUID string {B7BEDE81-DF94-4682-A7D8-57A52620B86F}<\/code> represents the Screenshots<\/code> folder. This value doesn’t exist by default in Windows 10\/11.<\/p>\n
