The Date and Type columns may be empty.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-74421\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/date-missing-appwiz-cpl.jpg\" alt=\"programs and features - date column is blank\" width=\"589\" height=\"650\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Cause<\/h2>\n<p>This happens due to the corruption of folder view settings, which causes incorrect column headers to appear in the Programs and Features dialog.<\/p>\n<h2>Resolution<\/h2>\n<p>To resolve the issue, reset the view settings for the <strong>Programs and Features<\/strong> window.<\/p>\n<p>From the <strong>Programs and Features<\/strong> window, access the Tools menu (Alt + T) and click Folder Options.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Important:<\/strong> Launching Folder Options via File Explorer doesn&#8217;t help. You must launch it via the Tools menu in the <strong>Programs and Features<\/strong> window.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-74423\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/date-missing-appwiz-cpl-2.png\" alt=\"programs and features - date column is blank\" width=\"578\" height=\"228\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select the &#8220;View&#8221; tab.<\/p>\n<p>Click &#8220;Reset Folders&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-74422\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/date-missing-appwiz-cpl-3.png\" alt=\"programs and features - date column is blank\" width=\"590\" height=\"449\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click <strong>Yes<\/strong> when you see the following prompt.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Do you want to reset all folders of this type to the default view settings?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>That should fix the problem.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Note:<\/strong> As an alternative to the classic Programs and Features dialog, you can use Nirsoft&#8217;s &#8220;UninstallView&#8221; (freeware), which has a similar interface.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When you open the classic Programs and Features (appwiz.cpl) window, in the uninstall screen, it may only show the name of the program and the size.
