When you run a Microsoft Troubleshooter<\/a> pack, the following error may occur:<\/p>\n

Cause<\/h2>\n
The error code\u00a00x803C0107 (“SDIAG_E_TRUST”) means “Trust validation of the diagnostic package failed.”<\/p>\n
This happens if the scripted diagnostics group policy “Configure Security Policy for Scripted Diagnostics” has been enabled.<\/p>\n
Resolution<\/h2>\n
To fix the error 0x803C0107 when running the troubleshooter pack, remove the ValidateTrust policy setting.<\/p>\n
Method 1: Using the Registry Editor<\/h3>\n
Please open regedit.exe<\/strong> and go to the following branch:<\/p>\n
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Policies\\Microsoft\\Windows\\ScriptedDiagnostics<\/pre>\n
Delete or rename all the values in the right pane. Especially delete the value named ValidateTrust<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
Exit the Registry Editor.<\/p>\n

Method 2: Using Local Group Policy Editor<\/h3>\n
If you’ve configured the above policy using the Group Policy Editor, you need to turn off the setting there.<\/p>\n
Open the Local Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc<\/code>) and go to:<\/p>\n
Computer Configuration \u2192 Administrative Templates \u2192 System \u2192 Troubleshooting and Diagnostics \u2192 Scripted Diagnostics<\/pre>\n
Set “Configure Security Policy for Scripted Diagnostics” to “Not configured”.<\/p>\n
