I believe the Malwarebytes support\/development team is looking into the memory leak issue and here is a <a href=\"https:\/\/forums.malwarebytes.com\/topic\/219918-ram-usage-what-is-going-on\/\">huge thread on the Malwarebytes forums<\/a>\u00a0(<em>RAM usage &#8211; what is going on?<\/em>) where many users have posted their concerns.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6115\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/malwarebytes-high-memory-usage.png\" alt=\"malwarebytes ram usage high memory leak\" width=\"775\" height=\"324\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Quoting Malwarebytes Support Team member <a href=\"https:\/\/forums.malwarebytes.com\/topic\/219996-important-web-blocking-ram-usage-issue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">RubbeR DuckY<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>We&#8217;re aware of an issue with a protection update that shipped an hour ago that is causing all web traffic to be blocked and RAM usage to climb. We are triaging this right now with all hands on deck. I will have an update shortly with the root cause and will share with all of you as I get information.<\/p>\n<p>I completely appreciate the pain this is causing our users and we are working hard to resolve this.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>For now, I&#8217;ve disabled Malwarebytes service via Services MMC (<code>services.msc<\/code>) and restarted Windows. Right now only Windows Defender is guarding my computer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update (28\/1\/2018):<\/strong> The database package update version 1.0.3803 fixes this problem.
