Please go to the Google Play Store to download the latest version<\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6102\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/whatsapp-obsolete-error.jpg\" alt=\"This Version of WhatsApp became obsolete\" width=\"675\" height=\"1200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>However, you may not be able to download new version from Google Play store.\u00a0WhatsApp has officially announced that the error has something to do with the delivery mechanism and it&#8217;s not a bug in the app.<\/p>\n<p>Quoting a WhatsApp spokesperson:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>This is an issue that\u2019s being fixed. It was a problem with how our app is distributed, which is not under our control.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The usual fix is to uninstall and reinstall the app, but that causes the entire WhatsApp data to be reset.\u00a0Here is how to resolve the WhatsApp error <strong>without<\/strong> uninstalling and reinstalling it.<\/p>\n<h2>Fix: &#8220;WhatsApp became obsolete&#8221; Error<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Visit the following webpage on your Android smartphone.\n<pre>whatsapp.com\/android<\/pre>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6104\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/whatsapp-incompatible-fix.png\" alt=\"This Version of WhatsApp became obsolete\" width=\"360\" height=\"637\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Tap the <strong>Download Now<\/strong> button and download the file <strong>WhatsApp.apk<\/strong> file to your phone.<\/li>\n<li>Open &#8220;My Files&#8221; on your handset.
