In some cases, you may get an error that another module named vcruntime140_1.dll<\/code> is missing.<\/p>\n
VCRUNTIME140.dll is one of the runtime libraries of Microsoft Visual Studio (VC++) 2017 or 2015. VC++ runtime libraries are DLL files required to run programs compiled with Microsoft VC++ \/ Visual Studio suite. Software vendors usually include the runtime libraries in the setup packages since many versions with the same DLL file name can exist.<\/p>\n

    Windows Update regularly downloads Microsoft Visual Studio (VC++) 2015 (x86) runtime libraries in your Windows 10\/11 computer. So, another way to fix the error is to repair the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 redistributable (x86) via Apps & Features in Windows 10 or 11.<\/p>\n

    1. Click Start, Settings. Click Apps & Features.<\/li>\n
    2. Scroll down and select the entry “Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x86)”

    3. Click Modify.<\/li>\n
    4. In the Setup screen, click Repair.

      If the problem persists even after repairing it, you may try downloading the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable from the Microsoft Download Center. Download and install both the x86 and x64 versions of the Visual C++ redistributable package:<\/p>\n

      If you’re using Windows 64-bit, be sure to download and install both 32-bit vs 64-bit versions<\/strong> of the Visual C++ redistributable packages, especially if the error appears when playing Epic Games.<\/p>\n

      <\/a>Option 4: Download the modules from WinBIndex<\/h3>\n
      The Windows Binaries Index (Winbindex), a non-Microsoft site, allows to quickly view information about the files and download some of them from Microsoft servers directly. The files that can be downloaded are executable files (currently exe, dll and sys files).<\/p>\n

      Though I don’t usually suggest downloading DLL files from non-Microsoft sites, here is something that you can use if none of the above options helps. Visit the Dll-files.com<\/code> portal and type the name of the module you want to download.<\/p>\n

      Scroll down and pick the version of the DLL you want. It’s suggested that you upload the DLL to VirusTotal.com<\/code> to ensure that the module is clean.<\/p>\n
