In some systems, Malwarebytes Web protection module may get disabled, and the message <strong>Real-Time Protection layers turned off<\/strong> is shown in the notification area at every startup.<!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"err\"><strong>Real-Time Protection layers turned off<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One or more Real-Time Protection layers are turned off. Turn on all Real-Time Protection layers to block and prevent threats.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The above warning is supposed to appear only when one or more of the following features is turned off:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Web Protection<\/li>\n<li>Exploit Protection<\/li>\n<li>Malware Protection<\/li>\n<li>Ransomware Protection<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>However, Malwarebytes may display the warning at every startup although all four protection settings are turned ON.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/malwarebytes-error-2.png\" alt=\"real-time protection layers\" width=\"862\" height=\"701\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5271\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/malwarebytes-error-1.png\" alt=\"Real-Time Protection layers turned off\" width=\"699\" height=\"239\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To fix the issue, make sure you&#8217;ve updated Malwarebytes to the latest version and restart Windows.
