If you don&#8217;t use the menu option, you can remove it from the registry to speed up right-click menu display on the desktop.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3997\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/03\/nvidia-intel-context-menu.png\" alt=\"remove nvidia intel context menu\" width=\"350\" height=\"396\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Remove NVIDIA Control Panel from Desktop Right-click Menu<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Launch the Registry Editor (<code>regedit.exe<\/code>)<\/li>\n<li>Navigate to the following branch:\n<pre>HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\\Directory\\Background\\shellex\\ContextMenuHandlers\\NvCplDesktopContext<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Right-click <\/span><code><strong style=\"font-size: inherit;\">NvCplDesktopContext<\/strong><\/code><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">, click Export, and save the branch to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/how-to-use-reg-files-registration-entries-windows\/\">.reg file<\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Right-click <\/span><code><strong style=\"font-size: inherit;\">NvCplDesktopContext<\/strong><\/code><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\"> and choose Delete<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Exit the Registry Editor.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>NVIDIA Control Panel is now removed from the context menu.
