By default, Microsoft Edge doesn’t issue a warning if you close your Microsoft Edge browser window with multiple tabs open. Sometimes we may accidentally close the browser window and wondering how to restore the session back.<\/p>\n

You can press Ctrl<\/kbd> + Shift<\/kbd> + T<\/kbd>\u00a0 to reopen the tabs closed during the last browser session.<\/p>\n

Additionally, you can force Microsoft Edge to warn you when you attempt to close the browser window accidentally with multiple open tabs. Here’s how to do that.<\/p>\n

Enable Warning on Closing Multiple Tabs in Microsoft Edge<\/h2>\n

To enable the warning on closing multiple tabs in Microsoft Edge Chromium, follow these steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Start Microsoft Edge Chromium.<\/li>\n
  2. Open Edge Settings and more (\u2026) \u2192 Settings \u2192 Appearance \u2192 Browser behavior and features.<\/li>\n

  4. Turn on or off the “Ask before closing a window with multiple tabs” toggle switch.
