This article tells you how to download the offline installer (.appx, .appxpackage, or .msixbundle) for any Microsoft Store app.<\/p>\n

Get the Offline installer for any Store App<\/h2>\n

In this article, let’s see how to download the official<\/strong> installer package for the Photos<\/strong> app.<\/p>\n

  1. Visit the Microsoft Store portal below:\n
    https:\/\/apps.microsoft.com\/store<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
  2. Search for the app you want to download — e.g., Photos.\"microsoft<\/li>\n
  3. Click on the link to the app.\"microsoft<\/li>\n
  4. Copy the Store app’s URL to the clipboard or paste it into Notepad.<\/li>\n
  5. Visit the “Microsoft Store – Generation Project [by @rgadguard & mkuba50]”. The link is below:\n
    https:\/\/store.rg-adguard.net\/<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
  6. Then, select “URL” from the dropdown box on the above portal.\"store<\/li>\n
  7. In the text box, paste the Microsoft Photos Store URL:\n
    https:\/\/apps.microsoft.com\/store\/detail\/microsoft-photos\/9WZDNCRFJBH4<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
  8. Next, select “Retail” from the dropdown box.<\/li>\n
  9. Finally, click the button with the tickmark to generate the official download links for the app.The official<\/strong> download links will be generated for all versions<\/strong> of the app and also the dependency<\/strong> packages.\n
    (The links will be valid for the next 15 minutes. The table also lists the SHA-1 hash<\/a> and the file size of the corresponding app.)<\/em><\/p>\n

    (In the above example, the latest version of the app is listed at the bottom. The installers have the file extension .appx, .appxbundle, or .msixbundle.)<\/em><\/li>\n
  10. Find the version<\/strong> of the app and the bitness<\/strong> (some apps have separate executables for the x86 and x64 versions) you want to download. Here are some of the versions listed on that page:\n

    On that portal, right-click on the version you want and click “Save link as” in your browser.<\/p>\n
    (After installing the older version, turn off the auto-updation of Store apps. Otherwise, the app will be updated to the latest version.)<\/li>\n
  11. Right-click on the appropriate link and choose “Save link as…” in your browser.\n
    Note:<\/strong> When you download the file, it may save as an extensionless file. Save it with the correct name and extension — e.g., Microsoft.Windows.Photos_2023.11030.27009.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe.msixbundle<\/code><\/p>\n

    Warning in Edge or Chrome?<\/h4>\n
    The links lead to Microsoft domain. If you copy the link and paste it into Notepad, you can see the full URL.<\/p>\n
    Since it’s an “http:\/\/”; link instead of “https:\/\/”;, you get the insecure link warning when downloading. However, since it’s a Microsoft link, it’s safe to download. To download it, (assuming you’re using Microsoft Edge), click on the ellipsis icon (showing three dots), and click “Keep”.<\/p>\n

  12. Download the file and double-click it to install the app.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Possible Issues you may encounter<\/h3>\n
    1]<\/strong> The installer may not run if the App Installer package is not installed on the computer. If the installer doesn’t run, you must install the app using PowerShell.     2]<\/strong> The installer may point out that a dependency package or framework is missing — e.g., Microsoft.UI.Xaml.2.7.<\/a><\/p>\n
    In that case, you must download the dependency package from the store.rg-adguard.net<\/code> results window.<\/p>\n
