When you close or delete a Sticky note, you&#8217;ll be shown a confirmation dialog as below:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3519\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/sticky-notes-delete-confirmation-2.png\" alt=\"sticky-notes-delete-confirmation-2\" width=\"650\" height=\"288\" \/><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>If you accidentally enabled <i>Don&#8217;t show this message again<\/i> and clicked <i>No<\/i>, you can restore the confirmation problem via Sticky Notes settings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Option 1: Enable Delete confirmation via settings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Click on the Settings (gear icon) at the top of Sticky Notes.<\/p>\n<p>Enable the &#8220;Confirm before deleting&#8221; option.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-74822\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/sticky-notes-del-confirmation.png\" alt=\"sticky notes delete confirmation prompt\" width=\"372\" height=\"645\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Option 2: Reset the App<\/b><\/p>\n<p>To get back the delete confirmation prompt, you need to reset Sticky Notes.<\/p>\n<p>Open Settings (WinKey + i), and go to Apps &amp; Features. Select Sticky Notes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3518\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/sticky-notes-delete-confirmation-3.png\" alt=\"sticky-notes-delete-confirmation-3\" width=\"650\" height=\"322\" border=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click Advanced options. In the next screen, click <strong>Reset<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3517\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/sticky-notes-delete-confirmation-4.png\" alt=\"sticky-notes-delete-confirmation-4\" width=\"650\" height=\"349\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When you see the following prompt, click Reset in the resulting dialog:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>This will permanently delete the app&#8217;s data on this device, including your preferences and sign-in details.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This gets back the Delete Notes confirmation dialog for Sticky Notes.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Last tested in Windows 10 22H2.)<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sticky Notes is a nice tool that makes it easy to take quick notes.
