However, in Windows 10, the peek button is extremely narrow and can be difficult to use. Instead, you can create a Show Desktop shortcut and Pin it to the taskbar.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Pin &quot;Show Desktop&quot; Icon to Taskbar<\/h2>\n<p><b>Method 1: Using a Explorer shortcut to Show Desktop (toggle)<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Create a shortcut to the following target:<\/p>\n<pre>explorer.exe shell:::{3080F90D-D7AD-11D9-BD98-0000947B0257}<\/pre>\n<p>Right-click on the shortcut and click Properties<\/p>\n<p>Click Change icon<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/show-desktop-pin-taskbar1.png\" alt=\"show desktop icon - pin to taskbar in Windows 10\" width=\"358\" height=\"504\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3343\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select the desktop icon from shell32.dll. Rename the shortcut as <strong>Show Desktop<\/strong>, and right-click the shortcut and click <b>Pin to taskbar<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Method 2: Using a Script to Show Desktop (toggle)<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Copy these two lines to Notepad, and save as toggledesktop.vbs in a permanent location, like C:\\Windows<\/p>\n<pre>dim oSh: set oSh = CreateObject(&quot;shell.application&quot;)<br>\r\noSh.ToggleDesktop<\/pre>\n<p>Create a shortcut to the script file, prefixing the shortcut target with WScript.exe.
