You need to investigate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/clean-boot-windows-autoruns\/\">shell extensions<\/a> for that file type.<\/li>\n<li>Thumbnails or video previews (preview pane) are not generated.<\/li>\n<li>An unwanted entry appears in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/fix-slow-right-click-crashes-shell-extensions\/\">right-click menu<\/a> for a particular file type that you want to remove.<\/li>\n<li>Programs missing from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.co.in\/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&amp;ion=1&amp;espv=2&amp;ie=UTF-8#q=Default+Programs+site:winhelponline.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Default Programs<\/a> or Default Apps,<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">and other obscure problems.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>FileTypeDiag Utility<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-3156\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/ftd1.png\" alt=\"filetypediag\" width=\"242\" height=\"235\" \/>FileTypeDiag generates complete file association information for the file extension you specify. File type associations can be a complicated thing for many, but this tool makes everything easy by listing out all the file class data and also the Default Programs registration details for troubleshooting.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Download <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pretentiousname.com\/miscsoft\/#FileTypeDiag\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">FileTypeDiag<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the FileTypeDiag window, type the file extension which you want to investigate and click Save.
