However, the update also removes the &#8220;Folders&#8221; group in This PC.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-29401\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/folders-6-22h2-1.png\" alt=\"22h2 folders - add to this pc\" width=\"760\" height=\"430\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As you see in the above screenshot, only the &#8220;Devices and drives&#8221; section is available. In the earlier builds, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/remove-quick-access-other-shell-folders-file-explorer\/\">Folders<\/a> group contained the links to your special folders. This change is seen after installing the October 18, 2022\u2014KB5019509 (OS Build 22621.675) Out-of-band update.<\/p>\n<h2>Solution<\/h2>\n<p>To add the shell folders, namely, Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Music, Pictures, and Videos, to the top of This PC view, follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Download <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/add-remove-folders-this-pc.zip\">add-remove-folders-this-pc.zip<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Extract the contents of the archive to a folder.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-29403\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/folders-6-22h2-3.png\" alt=\"add to this pc windows 11 - folders group\" width=\"397\" height=\"250\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Double-click the file <strong>add-all-folders.reg<\/strong> and click Yes when asked for confirmation.<\/li>\n<li>Close and re-open Explorer. However, if you want to add the shell folders for the current user account only, you need to generate a custom shell namespace object for each shell folder.
