If it&#8217;s missing suddenly, here is how to add it back:<\/p>\n<p>Right-click notifications area in the Taskbar and click &#8220;Customize notifications icons&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Click Turn system icons on or off<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/w10\/w10-clock-tray.png\" width=\"502\" height=\"210\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Enable the Clock toggle button<\/p>\n<h3>Taskbar fonts turned black and the clock is invisible?<\/h3>\n<p>It is possible that the high contrast setting or an incompatible custom\/third-party theme has enabled black colored font for the taskbar. As a result, it makes it difficult to see the date\/time section in a black taskbar.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-18917\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/taskbar-black-clock-font.png\" alt=\"taskbar clock black text\" width=\"107\" height=\"87\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It may appear as though the clock is missing.<\/p>\n<p>To restore the default color setting (white font):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Turn off high contrast setting under Settings, Personalize, Ease of access.<\/li>\n<li>And then, open Settings, Personalization, Themes. Select the <strong>Windows<\/strong> theme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Additional Tip: Some users have suggested that disabling &#8220;<strong>Use small taskbar buttons<\/strong>&#8221; option in Taskbar settings makes the white font to appear.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In the newer versions of Windows 10 (e.g. 2004), there is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/show-accent-color-start-taskbar-action-center-grayed-out\/\">color mode setting<\/a> (dark or light) that can fix the issue.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open Settings, Personalization, Colors.<\/li>\n<li>Select the light or dark option under &#8220;Choose your color&#8221;.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17911\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/taskbar-accent-disabled-2.png\" alt=\"show accent color on taskbar start menu disabled or greyed out\" width=\"628\" height=\"703\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Hope one of the above methods helped you enable the visibility of the taskbar clock in Windows 10.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Date\/Time or the tray clock is shown by default in the Notification area.
