However, if your Excel sheets are confidential and you don&#8217;t want any intermediary portal or service to access them, then you may use the Excel to PDF offline conversion methods discussed in this article.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Fortunately, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel lets you automate the above task using scripting. Also, it ignores cells that are outside of the print area (in case you&#8217;ve set the print area for your sheets before). You can customize the output options by modifying the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/office\/vba\/api\/excel.workbook.exportasfixedformat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">ExportAsFixedFormat<\/a> command in line #12 of the above script as you wish.<\/em><\/p>\n<h4>Convert Excel sheets to PDF using VBScript<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Copy the above VBScript code to Notepad.<\/li>\n<li>Save the file with a .vbs extension, and in a permanent folder. \u2014 e.g., <code>d:\\scripts\\xls2pdf.vbs<\/code><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-18260\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/xls2pdf-script.png\" alt=\"excel save as pdf using vbscript\" width=\"700\" height=\"269\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Close Notepad.<\/li>\n<li>Open File Explorer and browse the following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/shell-commands-to-access-the-special-folders\/\">SendTo<\/a> folder:\n<pre>C:\\Users\\%username%\\AppData\\Roaming\\Microsoft\\Windows\\SendTo<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>Create a shortcut to the script <code>xls2pdf.vbs<\/code> in the SendTo folder.<\/li>\n<li>Prefix the shortcut target with <code>wscript.exe<\/code> and then followed by a space.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-18263\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/excel-to-pdf-sendto-1.png\" alt=\"excel save as pdf using vbscript\" width=\"363\" height=\"509\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Optionally, assign a nice-looking icon by clicking on the Change Icon button.<\/li>\n<li>Name the shortcut accordingly \u2014 e.g., <strong>Convert Excel Sheets to PDF<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Now, open the folder that contains the Excel sheets that you want to convert to PDF.<\/li>\n<li>Select the files, right-click on the selection, and click <strong>Send to<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Convert Excel Sheets to PDF<\/strong> in the <strong>Send to<\/strong> menu.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-18262\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/excel-to-pdf-sendto-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"701\" height=\"436\" \/><br \/>\nThat\u2019s it!
