If this service is not running, drives may go missing in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/storage-settings-drives-save-locations-windows-10\/\">Storage Settings and App Save Locations dropdown<\/a>. The Storage Service may be the main interface with which the Windows Store apps (UWP) can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/what-is-system-volume-information-can-i-delete\/\">write to the file system<\/a>.
