Here is how to restore the missing &#8220;Burn disk image&#8221; and &#8220;Mount&#8221; commands back in the right-click menu in Windows 10 and 11.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8564\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/w10-iso-default-3.png\" alt=\"burn disk image option missing\" width=\"462\" height=\"320\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Using Default Apps<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Click Start, Settings, and click Apps.<\/li>\n<li>Click Default apps<\/li>\n<li>Click &#8220;Set defaults by app&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down the list, locate &#8220;Windows Disk Image Burner&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Select &#8220;Windows Disk Image Burner&#8221;, and click Manage<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Windows Explorer<\/strong> option from the drop-down for both <code>.img<\/code> and <code>.iso<\/code> file types.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8566\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/default-apps-iso-img-explorer.png\" alt=\".img and .iso file association restore\" width=\"565\" height=\"566\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If that doesn&#8217;t help, run the Registry File below.<\/p>\n<h2>Registry Fix<\/h2>\n<p>Download <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/w10_iso_img_fix.zip\">w10_iso_img_fix.zip<\/a>, unzip, and run the enclosed Registry file. This restores the default file type associations for <code>.IMG<\/code> and <code>.ISO<\/code> file types in Windows 10 and 11.
