Here is a quick tip on how to add these folders on your desktop if you use these folders frequently. Instructions apply to Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11.<\/p>\n<h2>Add or Remove Homegroup and Libraries Icons on the Desktop<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Open <code>regedit.exe<\/code> and go to this branch:\n<pre>HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Explorer\\HideDesktopIcons\\NewStartPanel<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>Create a new DWORD value named <code>{031E4825-7B94-4dc3-B131-E946B44C8DD5}<\/code><\/li>\n<li>Create another DWORD value named <code>{B4FB3F98-C1EA-428d-A78A-D1F5659CBA93}<\/code><\/li>\n<li>To <strong>add<\/strong> these icons from Desktop, set the value data to <code><strong>0<\/strong><\/code> for both the values.<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li><code>{031E4825-7B94-4dc3-B131-E946B44C8DD5}<\/code> is the GUID for Libraries<\/li>\n<li><code>{B4FB3F98-C1EA-428d-A78A-D1F5659CBA93}<\/code> is the GUID for Homegroup<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/w10\/w10-homegroup-libr.png\" width=\"183\" height=\"213\" border=\"0\" \/><br \/>\nTo <strong>remove<\/strong> these icons from Desktop, set their value data to <code>1<\/code>.
