We&#8217;ve seen that in article <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/ie9-lets-pin-websites-taskbar-windows-7\/\">IE9 Lets You Pin Website Shortcuts to the Windows 7 Taskbar<\/a>. Clicking the Pinned site shortcut opens the website using Internet Explorer, regardless of which browser you&#8217;ve chosen as the default. In this post, we introduce a registry hack that lets you open Pinned site shortcuts in your default web browser <sup><b>1<\/b><\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/archived\/ie9-pinsite-diff-brwsr-3.png\" width=\"325\" height=\"430\"><\/p>\n<h2>Registry Edit<\/h2>\n<p>Download <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/archived\/pinned-site-browser.zip\">pinned-site-browser.zip<\/a>, unzip and run the enclosed REG file.
