This extension works fine in all versions of Windows, including Windows 10.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>After adding this extension, you&#8217;ll see the following options in the right-click menu, as well as in the Tools menu in Internet Explorer.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open With Google Chrome<\/li>\n<li>Open With Mozilla Firefox<\/li>\n<li>Open With Microsoft Edge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Download Extensions<\/h2>\n<p>Download the required extensions below.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b>Mozilla Firefox : <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/archived\/firefox.zip\">firefox.zip<\/a><\/li>\n<li><b>Google Chrome: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/archived\/chrome.zip\">chrome.zip<\/a><\/li>\n<li><b>Microsoft Edge: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/archived\/edge.zip\">edge.zip<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Instructions<\/h2>\n<p>Download the appropriate Zip file above, unzip and extract the contents to following directory.<\/p>\n<pre>C:\\Windows\\Web<\/pre>\n<p>Then, open the above directory, and double-click the corresponding Registry File to apply the settings. For example, to add Firefox, double-click <b>firefox.reg<\/b>. This adds &quot;Open With Firefox&quot; option to the right-click menu, under the Tools menu as well and also a button to the Internet Explorer Command Bar.<\/p>\n<p><b>Customize the Command Bar<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Close all Internet Explorer windows and then re-open. If the button isn&#8217;t visible by default, you need to customize the Command Bar. To do so, right-click on the empty toolbar area in Internet Explorer, click <b>Customize<\/b>, and click <b>Add or Remove Commands&#8230;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/ie-extensions-1.png\" alt=\"open with browser extension for IE\" width=\"538\" height=\"235\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3447\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Add the required buttons and close the dialog.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/ie-extensions-2.png\" alt=\"open with browser extension for IE\" width=\"261\" height=\"141\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3446\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You now have three buttons in the Command Bar that open current webpage using Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge.<\/p>\n<p>Also, the extensions show up when you click the Tools menu, and when you right-click on a webpage.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/ie-extensions-3.png\" alt=\"open with browser extension for IE\" width=\"283\" height=\"471\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3445\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>First time warning<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Clicking one of the added icons in the Command Bar would display a Internet Explorer Security window indicating that the program (Edge \/ Firefox \/ Chrome) would open outside of Protected mode. You can enable &quot;Do not show me the warning for this program again&quot; (and click &quot;Allow&quot;) if you don&#8217;t want to see the dialog box from the next time.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/archived\/ie-openwith-ext-4.png\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/archived\/ie-openwith-ext-5.png\"><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s it!<\/p>\n<h2>Similar Add-On for Mozilla Firefox<\/h2>\n<p>If you need a similar Add-On for Firefox, check out the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/addons.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/addon\/11097\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Open With Add-on<\/a> at mozilla.org, which adds additional menu options to open the current web page using another browser.
