{"id":10136,"date":"2019-07-03T05:23:13","date_gmt":"2019-07-02T23:53:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/198.58.113.91\/blog\/?p=10136"},"modified":"2023-07-31T20:37:15","modified_gmt":"2023-07-31T15:07:15","slug":"fix-logilda-dll-error-at-startup-in-windows-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/fix-logilda-dll-error-at-startup-in-windows-10\/","title":{"rendered":"Fix: LogiLDA.dll Error at Startup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After upgrading to Windows 10, you may see one of the following errors when logging in to your user account:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"err\"><strong>There was a problem starting C:\\Windows\\System32\\LogiLDA.dll The specified module could not be found<\/strong><\/pre>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<pre class=\"err\"><strong>Error in C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM32\\LOGILDA.DLL - Missing entry: LOGIFETCH<\/strong><\/pre>\n<pre class=\"err\"><strong>There was a problem starting C:\\Windows\\System32\\LogiLDA.dll. C:\\Windows\\System32\\LogiLDA.dll is not a valid Win32 application.<\/strong><\/pre>\n<p>These errors especially occur after you upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 8 or Windows 10. It&#8217;s caused by the Logitech Download Assistant software that runs during startup to detect and download newly released Logitech updates. This module may have been removed during Windows 10 Setup (due to incompatibility), but the remnant startup entry is causing the error.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LogiLDA.dll file information<\/strong><\/p>\n<pre>File name: logilda.dll\nPublisher: Logitech, Inc.\nProduct name: Logitech Download Assistant\nTypical file path: C:\\Windows\\System32\\logilda.dll<\/pre>\n<h2>Fix: LogiLDA.dll Error at Startup in Windows 10<\/h2>\n<p>When you install Logitech software &#8212; e.g., Logitech Setpoint, the Logitech Download Assistant may be installed automatically. Note that this software may be preinstalled in Dell, HP or other OEM-branded computers. In my client&#8217;s system, it seems to have installed automatically when installing the Logitech K400+ drivers.
