Once you run the Sticky Notes app, the app may automatically run at every startup although the Task Manager’s Startup tab or the Startup folders don’t show the entry. If the Sticky notes app is auto-starting after every reboot and you want to disable the app from running at startup, use these steps:
Disable Sticky Notes starting at Logon in Windows 10
- Right-click Start, click Run. Type
regedit.exe
and click OK. - In the Registry Editor, go to the following branch:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\PenWorkspace\Notes
- There should be a DWORD value named
LaunchOnNextUserSession
- Change
LaunchOnNextUserSession
value data from1
to0
- Exit the Registry Editor.
Sticky Notes should no longer auto-launch at startup.

Hi, this only helped until I started Sticky Notes again. Next time I reeboot, the Sticky Notes are automatically started, and in the registry, the value is set to 1 even though I set it to 0 earlier. This is QUITE annoying…
This doesn’t work for me. The value is already 0 but sticky notes still starts up each time I reboot.
