When you finish or discard a game in Windows 7, the results are stored in a separate statistics file, which is reflected in the Statistics tab in the right pane in Games Explorer. Is your game statistics not looking good? No problem! You can reset the games statistics so that you can start from the scratch again.

Here is how to reset the Game Statistics Files in Windows 7.

1. Open Disk Cleanup (Cleanmgr.exe).

2. Select the Windows drive-letter and click OK.

3. From the list of files to delete, select Game Statistics Files

4. Click OK.

This clears the Game Statistics Files stored in the following location:

%LocalAppData% \ Microsoft \ Windows \ GameExplorer \ GameStatistics

  1. Disk Cleanup doesn’t work. To reset games statistics on Windows 7 go to the following:

C:/Users/Login Name/AppData/Local/Microsoft Games. Then delete the folders to the games you wish to reset.

Note: AppData is a hidden folder so type the path or else set computer to view hidden folders and names.
