After postponing a scheduled backup job using the Macrium Reflect imaging utility, when you attempt to create a new image backup manually via Macrium Reflect user interface, the following message appears:
Reflect is busy. A Backup or Restore operation is currently running.
Macrium Reflect doesn’t seem to allow you to create a backup manually after dismissing postponing a scheduled backup. Also, there is no option provided to clear pending Macrium Reflect backup task(s).
Fix: Reflect is busy. A Backup or Restore operation is currently running
To fix the problem, all you need to do is kill a task named ReflectBin.exe using Task Manager. In Task Manager, you’ll see 5 processes related to Macrium Reflect, namely: MacriumService.exe, ReflectMonitor.exe, ReflectUI.exe, Reflect.exe, ReflectBin.exe
Right-click on ReflectBin.exe
and choose End task.
Click End process when asked for confirmation.
Close and reopen Macrium Reflect to create a new image backup manually.
Tested on Macrium Reflect v7.2.4325
