I also noticed that itunes had taken the jpg format and as I don&#039;t use itunes I have nutralised the reference. So thanks very helpful<br/><br/>

However, I didn't have to "Right-click on the downloaded file and choose Merge."  There was never an opportunity to do so.  The fix just ran and completed after I clicked through a few permission pop-ups.<br/><br/>

Cannot import helpcontentfix_vista.reg: Not all data was successfully written to the registry. Some keys are open by the system or other processes. Still have my red x's.<br/><br/>

It didn't work. Changed the content image to image/pny and tried the reg fix file. No help
What else is here to do?

and tried to do it manually.
No success. 
Even after restart.

I noticed the reg file was missing .gif which also was missing the Content Type and PerceivedType values. I added the following and those too were fixed (see below).

There was smth wrong in the cache - Fiddler showed, how Help was requesting the microsoft servers and what it got back.<br/><br/>
