Q: I am running XP Pro (SP2) with OE6 and IE7 RC1. I have a copy of the i386 file from the original Windows XP installation disk (SP1) on an external hard disk used when running the SFC /Scannow file protection utility. Should I be using the i386 file from my Slipstreamed (SP2) disk?
A: Yes, you need to use the slipstreamed disk (SP2 integration). If a slipstreamed CD is unavailable, mention the path as %windir%\servicepackfiles. Also, you may have to fix the ServicePackSourcePath registry value.
