After installing Windows 7 as a dual-boot setup, it’s automatically set as the default boot option (shown at startup). The default Operating System starts automatically after the specified timeout period elapses. If you want to unset Windows 7 as the default boot option, use the System Configuration Utility in Windows.

Guys - use the software I mentioned earlier

http://neosmart.net/

I have a tri-boot system

2HD's - 3 OSes

It works fine.

It also has a very powerful set of tools, one of which have helped me when a partition died

I'm not linked in anyway to the neosoft people, this is just great free software

Cheers!

Actually, this tip didn't work for me. In Windows XP, only XP is listed as an OS; in Windows 7, only 7 is listed as an OS. Each respective system thinks it's the default, and I end up having to pick XP every time (now that I'm done beta testing 7 until the RC comes out)

re: My earlier post/iReboot 1.1

iReboot 1.1 DOES work in XP Pro.

For some odd reason I hadn't installed it. Corrected this today and tested it.

My bad.

I had this issue with a dual boot Vista - XP Pro system.

I use EasyBCD 1.7.2 and also iReboot 1.1 to fix this and to choose which OS to switch to.

Works with Vista and W7 - You can choose to boot into XP if you run it, but the app is not able to run on XP (XP Pro)

Currently running Vista/XP Pro/Windows 7 Beta Two HD's - tri boot.

XP Pro and W7 on same HD.

Get it from:
