After installing Windows 7 in a separate partition as a dual boot option with Windows Vista in another partition, you may notice that Windows 7 installation does not list the drive in which Windows Vista is installed. Here is a simple fix!

This happens if the drive-letter is not assigned (in Windows 7) for the Windows Vista partition. You can do it manually using Disk Management MMC. Use these steps:

Assigning Drive Letter for the Windows Vista Partition

Click Start, type diskmgmt.msc and press ENTER

The Windows Vista partition should be visible in the Disk Management window.

Right-click on the Vista partition, and click Change Drive Letter and Paths

Click the Add button.

Assign a drive letter for the partition and click OK.

    So it’s not just me!

    Nice tip.

Oddly in Vista and XP Pro you can see all your OSes/Drives.

    Good fix..!
