When you open a folder window, Taskbar may display the full path of the folder instead of just showing the folder name. So, if you have multiple folder windows open, you may have to click around every window before you get to the right one.
To display only the name of the folders instead of showing the full path in the Taskbar, use these steps:
Windows XP & Windows Vista
1. Click Start, Run. Type control folders and press ENTER.
Note: If you’re using Windows Vista, you can type the above command directly in the Search box in the Start menu.
2. Select the View tab
3. Uncheck Display the full path in the title bar
4. Click OK.
This setting applies to the title bar in Explorer as well as the folder buttons displayed in Taskbar.
